Green Bag

COMING SOON THE GREEN BAG

 

The Green Bag is a local Rotary Club sponsored program designed to help our community provide food to those in need.  Here is how it works.

 

We sign up Zion families who are interested in donating non-perishable, packaged foods for other Zion families in need.

 

Our donating families (affectionately called green baggers) purchase an extra item or two when doing their normal shopping and store those items in the green bag we provide them.

 

Every second Saturday morning of every other month (August, October, December, February, April, June) we pick up those now stocked bags, leaving an empty replacement.  The stocked bags are then delivered to local food pantries who in turn provide your donations to those in need without charge.
